broken wing and open wound?

i found a bird in my backyard today with a broken wing and an open wound on its wing i have no idea what type of bird it is, i think its some sort of pigeon or dove mix thing.. he’s so little (a little smaller than a tennis ball)

well, basically, i called the wildlife rescue and they were going to call me right back with a time and place to meet and they flaked out on me and never called me back.. i also called animal control and they never showed either… there are NO avian vets anywhere in my area (so please dont give me touble about not taking it to a vet i would if i could)

so i just went out and got a bunch of first aid things as well as seed and worms… my question, i cleaned his wound with a betadine/water solution and was going to put neosporin on it but im not sure if he can reach the wound so im going to wait on that for now, i got a gauze product to wrap him in to brace the wing, but he’s so small i cant wrap anything around him… will this be okay to just leave his wing as it is and just keep cleaning the wound for now until he grows a little bit??

and any advice at all on my situation would be greatly appreciated!! i love animals to death but birds are not my specialty lol but i could not just leave him outside for the stray cats to feast on! thanks in advance!
