I’m a 16 year old student who is looking for a job.
I’m currently in the Advanced Placement program at my school. I have great intangibles(Hard worker, setting priorities, only been absent 10 or less times in both High school and elementary school combined, etc). Former honour roll student(Was on the honour roll for 1 year and when I wasn’t, i missed it by like 1-3 percent) and maintain an average from 77-80%.
I’m also certified in things such as first aid, CPR, WHMIS, safety training, and have certifications showing that would help in the job industry such as Employer responsibilities, Worker rights and responsibilities, common workplace hazards, dealing with Hazards at work and General Workplace safety provision.(All learned during a program at school)
I’m also part of a Tennis club and i’m starting to practice how to play a couple of instruments as my extra curricular activities.
The problem is, I don’t have any community hour service under my belt and never had a job before.
If I hand in my resume to stores/places hiring, what would the chances of them hiring me to someone who does have volunteer exp. And how much does it affect me that I don’t have volunteer exp.
